you are here: church life - adpot a cop
Adopt-a-Cop
This is a national scheme pioneered by the Christian Police Association to foster closer relationships between churches (and other centres for worship) and their local policing teams
Our own community police officer, PC Steve Brett writes:
“I would like to think that we already have a close relationship with St. Michael’s and I don’t think there will be many startling changes as a result of you adopting me. I am intending to come along to coffee after the Parish Eucharist on a Sunday when I can, to allow people to speak to me directly and we will endeavour to support as many of St. Michael’s Church events as possible. In return, I would ask that you remember us occasionally in your prayers and continue to show support for us and what we are trying to achieve in the wider Colehill community.”
Rod and Deidre Cooke at St Michael’s have kindly agreed to be the ‘Adopt-a-Cop’ liaison but please feel free to contact Steve, or his colleague PCSO Matt Johnson, as required, either on the Colehill SNT mobile 07825 52179
or by email at colehillsnt@dorset.pnn.police.uk
